How to Improve the Battery Life of Your Apple Watch – 5 Easy Tips

How to Improve the Battery Life of Your Apple Watch

If you want to improve the battery life of your Apple Watch, there are several things you can do. For example, you can switch to a black watch face to save power.

The black face doesn’t have animation on it, so it won’t drain the battery as much.

You can also try to fix any software bugs that affect the battery life.

If none of these methods work, you can always contact Apple Support for assistance. In the meantime, you can use the tricks outlined below.

Less is better

There are some ways to maximize battery life on an Apple Watch. Using your watch in its most efficient way will help extend its battery life.

For example, you can use its Activity Reminder to remind you to stand up every hour, and disable the Background App Refresh function to prevent your apps from downloading new content to your watch.

Using an arm strap to listen to music while you’re away from your phone can also help you conserve battery power. And if you’re running out of juice, you can try using an iPod Shuffle or MP3 player to listen to your favorite music.

To maximize battery life on your Apple Watch, try to avoid using the fitness tracking and heart rate monitoring features.

These apps require a high amount of battery power. But you can turn them off by choosing the option in your Apple Watch settings.

If you don’t need them, try to switch to an iPhone. Depending on your preferences, you can also turn them off. This way, you won’t have to worry about the battery life of your Apple Watch.

Power Saver mode

If you don’t want to use the cellular data option of your Apple Watch, you can enable Power Saver mode on your Apple Watch. When you enable this mode, your Apple Watch will switch to a low-power state and display a battery glance.

If you don’t use the watch for more than 24 hours, it can be turned off by holding down the Side button and pressing the power reserve button.

When you do this, you will get a green message and your battery will last for even longer.

To maximize the battery life of your Apple Watch, avoid placing phone calls or talking on it. It is one of the biggest drainers of your battery, so keep the inner Dick Tracy at bay.

Try to avoid placing phone calls from your Apple Watch, and instead use your iPhone for these purposes. It’s better to keep your phone and Apple Watch separate.

However, if you do need to use the watch to make a call, it’s better to hold it in Power Saver mode and not use it.

Disabling wake screen

One simple way to increase battery life on your iPhone or iPad is to disable the rise to wake feature. This feature enables you to turn on your phone without having to lift it from your wrist, but it is extremely power-hungry.

To disable the rise to wake feature, open the Settings app and click the display & brightness tab. Tap the raise to wake slider to the left of the screen, and toggle it to “off” if you no longer need it.

Alternatively, you can also use the “Tilt to Wake” feature to disable the screen whenever you move your wrist. The latter prevents accidental turning on the screen by requiring user interaction.

If you do not want to use this feature, you can also disable the Always-on Screen feature in Android 5.0.

The only downside of this setting is that you can’t use this feature with older Apple products. Disabling the Wake Screen feature on older models of the iPhone will severely damage battery life.

Fixing software bugs that affect battery life

If you’re running low on battery power, you might want to check out the latest updates to your Apple Watch.

The latest watchOS update addresses two major problems that are causing your battery to drain quickly: app updates and ECG app bugs. While this update doesn’t include any security fixes, it does fix the battery drain issue and restore your watch to normal functionality.

If you’re unsure whether an update is necessary, check the changelog before upgrading.

In most cases, battery drain is a result of a software issue. Before making any changes, check all aspects of your system, including any apps. If you find that a hardware issue is the cause, contact Apple Support for assistance or visit your local Apple Store.

Depending on the cause of your battery drain issue, there might be other fixes available to you. To find out what the problem is, try these methods and you should soon see an improvement in your Apple Watch’s battery life.
